Project Announcement
The Lux4UA Project is meant to assess the effectiveness of the Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) Protocol in different mental health care settings in Ukraine, comparing it with treatments-as-usual and evaluate the feasibility of the RTM Protocol and Training in the humanitarian emergency context. The RTM Protocol is a neuro-based, stress-free, cost-effective treatment that has shown over 90% efficacy in treating trauma-related conditions in 3-5 sessions conducted consecutively over a few days.
It is implemented by the University of Luxembourg, together with the National Psychological Association of Ukraine, the Centre of Mental Health and Rehabilitation “Forest Glade” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and The Research and Recognition Project (US).
The main aim of the Lux4UA Project is to run the first RTM Effectiveness and Feasibility Study in Ukraine (and Europe) to collect data on the Ukrainian population to the benefit of those who experienced complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder or any trauma-related symptoms.
The Project is funded by FNR LuxAid BRIDGES 2024 Programme, a joint programme between the FNR, the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA) and the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency LuxDev.
